How to use the flashcards maker
- Create a deck for a subject or chapter, for example “Biology unit 2”.
- Add cards: a question or term on the front, the answer on the back.
- Press Start practice. Try to answer, then press Flip card.
- Choose I knew it or Review again. Cards you did not know come back at the end of the round until you know them all.
Why flashcards work
Trying to recall an answer before you see it, called retrieval practice, is one of the most reliable ways to remember material. Short, regular sessions over several days work better than one long session the night before a test.
Writing good cards
- Keep one fact or idea per card.
- Write the question in your own words.
- For vocabulary, make a second card in the opposite direction.
